6 Months Already?

Yesterday was Riley's 6 month birthday. It is amazing how many options will open up for her now that she has reached 6 months; or at least it seems like everything I have seen for the past 6 months for babies is for infants 6 months & over.

I would love to give you an update of all her measurements, but we had to postponed her doctor visit. She has had a bit of a runny nose this weekend & they will not give her any immunizations if she is sick, so we thought it would be better to postpone it a week. We are not sure if it is a cold or the beginning of teething, but we are on the lookout.

Overall though she is doing very well. We feel very blessed. Here is her 6 month update:

• At 7:02 yesterday morning, Riley Mae Mills turned 6 months old!
• She laughs, smiles & squeals in delight.
• She loves to sit & play with her ring stacker toy.
• Bailey & Phoebe still want to play with her (Bailey even brought her a ball once). Riley absolutely loves the dogs. She always gets excited when she sees them.
• She handles the car seat much better now; especially when she has a toy or two with her.
• She enjoys her stroller, especially when she is propped up so she can view the world.
• Mommy loves her in cute hats! (She looks adorable)
• She has now been introduced to Rice Cereal, Sweet Potatoes & Carrots. Tomorrow - Butternut Squash. After the initial shock in taste, she seems to enjoy these new experiences.
• She has been sleeping through the night for quite awhile now. However, she will occasionally roll over & wake herself up in the middle of the night.
• She is very intrigued by noses & watch out or she will grab yours when you least expect it.
• She is a good critic. Daddy took her with him to the driving range last night & she enjoyed it very much. She only got fussy when he hit a bad ball.
• She has now been on a boat once & swimming in a pool several times. She has an inflatable ladybug that she floats in, which is very cute. The antennae even squeak.
• Her favorite song is Mommy's version of the Spider Man theme song (using her name instead).
• She has discovered mirrors & loves them! Boy, are we in for trouble.
