1 out of 10, maybe

So I have been trying to work on something for Riley's birthday, but I need a good picture of her. I know, I am sure I can find some from her past, but I would like a current picture of her. Who knew the pressure that would create?! This has been quite a learning experience. I have learned one main lesson - Babies are not predictable & do not necessarily find our photo opportunities as important as we do. :-)

Another dilemma that comes along with taking pictures of your baby is that of how many is too many? Okay, I know this may sound silly, but here is the thing - in order to get one great picture, you often times have to take 10-20 shots. Then, what do you do with those? Delete them? Yes, I know you should...& I do...well, at least I am getting better at it. I just hated deleting pictures of Riley when she was a few months old, but frankly, there are way too many of the same outfit & in the same position. She does not need 20 of the same picture with slightly different angles or expressions, but it was still hard to delete them; but I did...well some. Sometimes you will catch a golden moment that is not necessarily that perfect smile you were looking for. It just takes time & perserverence. :-)

With that said, here a a few random pictures taken today in order to try & get 1 shot. (Oh & by the way, you can click on the Flickr link to the right to see more of our family pictures.)
