16 Months

It is that time again already. The year is going by so fast! Here are some of the newest developments in Riley's life (& some ones I missed last time.)




In addition to what I wrote before, at 15 months, Riley:

• Could throw/bounce a ball
• Was learning to eat with a fork & spoon on her own
• Started imitating Mommy putting on lotion
• Learned "What's Up?" with a face nod
• Started making a crowd sound when we say "And the crowd goes crazy!"
• Started lifting her hands to show when she is "All Done!"

Now, at 16 months, Riley:

• Scribbles
• Eats pretty well with a fork & spoon
• Hands the fork/spoon back to you with her teeth
• Will grab a tissue, put it to her nose & pretend to blow her nose. She also will actually try to blow her nose when we put a tissue to her nose (when it really needs it).
• Says, "Bubble" (my new favorite word!) & "shoes"...although we are still working on "mama"
• Points to her belly button when asked where her "button is"
• She knows where her feet, head & nose are & loves pointing to your face as you tell her what each part is
• Sings along with Mommy when she sings
• Love to go down the slide!
• Has started the stage where she hides everything in interesting places...Mommy & Daddy are still learning her favorite hiding places
• Absolutely loves to climb...Everything!
