23 Months

Riley has started doing so many crazy, silly, naughty, nice, cute, wonderful new things this past month, it is hard to think about where to start or what is new, but I will try. Here it goes, at 23 months, Riley:

• Sings along with several songs now. tonight, on the way to small group she was singing along to a pretty version of America, the Beautiful...& it was just that, beautiful.


• Loves planes & helicopters ("dopcters")! She has excellent hearing & eyesight & will point out a plane or helicopter way before we even know one is nearby.


• Had her first tea party with some friends at church.



• Says "Bless you" (or "shesh you") whenever she, or someone else, sneezes or coughs.
• Asks to watch Backyardigan's just so she can dance. She even illustrates what she means by "dance" by doing a little twist with her arms & hips.
• Knows the names of almost all of the animals in her books & the sounds they make.
• Has taken a liking to playing in the dog house. hopefully we will be getting a playhouse soon. :-)
  

• Will say, "shhh..baby (or whatever person or animal it is) is sleeping," when someone/thing is laying down.
• Loves the zoo. Since going to the Santa Ana Zoo twice this past month, she has asks to go a lot now & looks in the trees for monkeys.
• Rode an elephant with Mommy at the zoo.
• Loves to play with babies...dolls & real ones. She met 2 new precious babies this past month - Tyler & Lynk.



• Has put a few 2-3 word sentences together, like "stop, please" (she says this one to the dogs mostly) & "thank you momma" & "bye-bye daddy."
