The remainder of our trip was very relaxing. Beautiful weather, beautiful walks, great nights around the campfire, & smores...it was all very nice. Aaron segwayed (is that a verb?) around with Riley, & sometimes Phoebe; I also got a chance to do some long anticipated reading.Oh, and if you remember, I mentioned earlier how a raccoon was trying to beak into our rubbermaid container to get to the dog food in San Simeon. Well, in Big Sur, we took the container off of the RV (so nothing would climb onto the RV & bounce us around), & every morning there was something new to see. It started with one squirrel trying to break into it. The next day, he brought his friend to help, but had no success. One morning I even saw a blue jay trying to peck its way through. We had already taken the dog food out of it, but they were determined little creatures. By the end of the trip, some thing had gnawed its way through the lid. Too bad for them, it was empty.
On Thursday, we found a beautiful place to walk & have lunch. It is called McWay Falls & it is located in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, just south of the Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park we stayed at. It is absolutely gorgeous!

We also found out that there was a gorge right near our campsite. I love to climb, and was excited when my mom (who had also joined us on this trip, with her friend), watched Riley as Aaron & I climbed, hiked, & rock jumped our way up the gorge.
