Monday in Scotland

Sorry I have not posted in a few days, our Internet at our apartment has been down. We have also been very busy. It is so exciting though to be able to post pictures & share our experience while we are here, even if I am a little behind.

Well, where did I leave off...oh yeah, I just summed up our Sunday adventures. Let's see if I can recall Monday.

Monday
Every night has gotten better with Riley's sleeping schedule. For the first 3 nights, or so, Riley would sleep for a couple hours & then play for a couple of hours in the middle of the night & then go back to sleep. The fact that she went back to sleep was great, but we are still hoping for a full night's sleep.

This morning I met Megan at a local Starbucks & then we walked over to the McDonald's house to pray over Britany who was having some medical tests done that day. At the McDonald's I met Rob & Laurie, NieuCommunities directors, Britany's beautiful little girl Hallie & Tim, Britany's husband. Laurie, Megan & I joined Britany in her living room & discussed the tests she was about to face. She shared fears, anxieties, but also her faith that God will be with her. She shared that these are the moments that your faith comes in to play most & you just need to give things over to God. Her attitude was wonderful, despite how anxious I am sure she was. We joined in prayer over her. What an awesome community to live in. It reminded me of how everyone came out of the woodwork to pray for us & Riley when we needed it most. Thank you everyone.

Aaron & I had the opportunity to explore a little bit on our own Monday afternoon while Jason & Megan had lunch with Rob & Laurie who were also visiting from California. We had fun venturing out on our own with Baby Riley in tow. We had paninis for lunch at a place called Chocolatte (sounds healthy, huh?), & then rode the underground to Buchanan Street which is THE place to shop in Glasgow. We had lots of fun navigating our way around the Royal Concert Hall a.k.a. the Mall & the rest of the Gallery shops. Our day ended with a tasty & cozy dinner at Jason & Megan's.
