This past August, we were honored to be invited to two weddings; one on the first & one on the last day of the month.
August 1st
The wedding on the August 1st, was that of my friend, Mavi, who happened to have been in my wedding 6 1/2 years ago. It was held outside at beautiful hotel in Santa Barbara, located right across the street from the beach. It was absolutely gorgeous. We witnessed two people, totally in love, become one, while enjoying a sunny day, with just the right amount of ocean breeze to make it quite refreshing. Mavi was breathtaking, as usual. They also incorporated so much diversity & cultural into the wedding as well. There 3 live bands: a string quartet, a mariachi band & a live band for dancing at the reception. They also had a very a talented trumpet player play the music that accompanied Mavi's entrance (which by the way, was down the stairs of an huge rotunda & into the open air courtyard. She had a lot of guts to walk that far.)
Due to the location, this was the first time we had to leave Riley with someone else over night. She did great! She & Grandma (& friends) had a great time together (which gave Mommy & Daddy a lot of peace in SB). Aaron & I stayed a a local Bed & Breakfast that was walking distance to the hotel where the wedding took place. The morning after, we went on a leisurely bike ride up the beach to the pier, & browsed through various beach side vendor booths. We had a lovely time, & again, were very honored to be apart of Mavi & Parrish's special day.
Congratulations Lenon family!
August 31st

Last week, we attended our second wedding of the month, that of Anna & Greg Hayes. Anna is my sister-in-law's sister. (Brenda, my sister-in-law, me & my mom, pictured to the left) Her & Greg have been together for years, and they truly do complete each other. They too held their wedding in a beach city, at a beautiful & interesting place, but the two venues could not have been more different. You would never have expected it to be so fascinating. True Long Beach lovers that they are, the two became one at a local hot spot called, The Madison.

"The Madison is a tribute to the majestic interiors of an ageless, grander America." This former bank, now turned into a restaurant & bar has an amazing nostalgic elegant quality about it. The wedding was lovely, the cocktails & hors d'oeurve hour in the vault was really cool, & dining while listening to the crooning of Frank Sinatra & Dean Martin completed the elegant & essence of nostalgia. Friends & family from all over the country, as well as two from Scotland, joined together to bless this new union. Thank you for inviting us to be apart of your special day Anna & Greg!
Congratulations to Anna & Greg! We hope you are having fun in Thailand!
